Hi RMA
I have just contacted our product department about your Armistice Day Concert question and received the following reply:-
We will usually write to all customers in September / October asking if anyone is interested in pre-booking the special Armistice concert arranged by the Last Post Committee for Armistice Day.
The concert is held in the afternoon of Armistice Day and takes place in the Cathedral of Sint-Maarten Ieper.
The repertoire offers a wide variety of songs and music relating to the First World War, such as Mademoiselle from Armentieres, It’s a long way to Tipperary, a drum routine, a violin solo, pipes and drums and the reading out of letters from the Great War etc.
Two classifications of ticket are available – standard which gains you entry to the Cathedral for the concert and VIP for which you will receive seats towards the front rows of the concert and an invitation to the reception at the Cloth Hall following the concert, where refreshments will be available.
All proceeds raised from the concert will help to ensure the playing of the Last Post at the Menin Gate each evening.
Hope this proves useful and if you need anymore info then please drop us a line.
Best regards
Michael
