I am presently collecting the tokens in the Daily Mail so I can send for the complete series of the BBC production "The Great War"

I've not seen any postings on the forum, especially from our WW1 chaps regarding the offer in the Mail.

Any thoughts.

I'm collecting the dvd's every day for my husband. He has a couple of videos from our library when they were selling them off but the clarity of the dvd's is so much better.

Meant to say, I'm going to wh smiths every day, hows that for dedication!!!

Having been away on tours so much lately, I had missed this offer. However, I have seen most of the episodes, and they are good - but it is very old TV and for me frustrating that none of the veterans interviewed were identified by name.

Hi

Just found out if you are collecting the tokens, it's going to cost you £14.99 for the DVD's and the presentation box, £9.99 for the DVD's only and £4.99 just for the box.

Nothing is for free, as they say....

Cheers

Marc.

Yes I know the full cost, it seems good value for money.

I've got all the tokens now, so I'll send off for the full package.

Thanks, Ed.

Three months later !!!!!! the discs and presentation packaging have arrived..

I must say I'm impressed, the value for money is superb as I have previously said, my subject is WW11 , but having been on the "All Quiet on the Western Front" tour with Leger, I've been converted.

Paul is correct, the veterans in the production are not identified and they look so young! it's hard to believe they are vets. until you remember the programme was made in 1961...Still I think the whole series looks a good deal and great value for money.

I've only watched parts 1,2,3,4, so another 22 to go...........
