You can't beat Leger!

Whilst on my way last week, my clutch went on the M1, I had to be brought back to Manchester on the RAC truck, have a new clutch fitted (under guarantee) thank goodness, then start out again on the Saturday....I lost three days and my planned trip to the Somme was scrapped!!!!!!:angry:

How I wished I had been on a Leger coach at that moment in time.

Anyway, adopting the Dunkirk spirit, off we went again to Belgium and it ended up a "Brilliant week:)

Still, I'm with Leger on the 16th August."Operation Market Garden"

It was a WA coach that was blocking her way; she had just been for a rest in the lounge of the nearest Silver Service coach for a brandy-coffee... :D

Yes, we were at Tyne Cot in the afternoon and Ypres for the Menin Gate at 6pm and also 8pm - and some even went down for the new lights at 10pm!

I meant to say, did the Leger tour visit the Menin Gate ceremony, at 6:30 or 8:00 p.m. only I didn't notice!

I was in Ypres last Thursday, shook hands with the Queen on her walkabout of the town, the Menin Gate ceremony was superb at 6:30p.m. and the 8:00 p.m. I thought was even better, with the girls choir from New Zealand.

I didn't see anyone who looked like they were on a Leger tour, did you attend the Tyne Cot ceremony? I'm sure you must have.

Departute 9th July

This is the main departure for the ceremony at Tyne Cot on 12th July.

There are three coaches on this date guided by Iain McHenry, Keith Quibell and Peter Williams. I will also be present to keep an eye on things and look forward to meeting Leger passengers old and new during this special week.
