I must say I am really really looking forward to my holiday now! I love history but have never had a holiday dedicated to a particular period of time before - this is a first for me and maybe not a last! Regards to all

Alice M

RE: Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

Hi Alice M
DON'T WORRY !!! I am a single traveller and have been for years. I have lost track of the number of Leger Battlefield tours I have done and everyone was wonderful. The tour groups all share a common bond with their interest and knowledge of the battlefields. The tour guides are superb....very friendly and approachable. Within the first hour or even minutes of being on the coach you will among friends. I have 3 trips booked for 2008 and I'm hoping to do a 4th. My Mum travelled on her own with Leger a few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. It was her first single trip since losing my step father so she was equally as anxious.

Look forward to it....you won't be disappointed.

RMA

P.S. I am female !

RE: Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

I know I'm geting on a bit, but I hope I'm not a surragate grandparent!!;).

I'm sure you'll enjoy the trip, I wish my kids would buy me a Leger Battlefield tour.

Where do you find these people????????

Ed.

RE: Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

Having received these two very reassuring replies how can I not possibly enjoy myself now! Thank you both so much for your messages. I am really looking forward to the trip now.

Regards

Alice M

RE: Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

Well said Kay. I thoroughly agree with you. I went on the same trip last year and enjoyed it greatly (there are some reports on the tour on forum).

Although I have never traveled with Leger on my own, in my experiences the group tends to bond together. Single travelers are always made welcome and they just become part of the group.

I hope you really enjoy the experience, let us know how it goes.

Regards

Matt

RE: Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

Thank you for the reassurance - I am really looking forward to it now!

Regards

Alice M

RE: Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

Please do not worry. As soon as you step on to a Battle Field Tour you are among friends. Every one is there for one purpose and you will be so welcomed you will have friends for a long time. My sister and I are only in are 30's but we gained so many surragtate grand parents on the tours we have done it has been amazing. It was like no other holiday. There are ex. vets. old and young, history buffs and people wanting a new holiday experience it is truely amazing. As a woman on your own you will be treated with so much respect you do not have to worry. prepare for a holiday of a lifetime!!!!:D

Arnhem & the Rhine Crossings

HI there

My daughter has bought me this 5 day break for Christmas. I am going in April. Has anyone else done this trip, or any other Leger battlefields trip, as a single person? I am a little daunted!

Alice M
