| I am going on this tour 29th September 2008. Any advice as to footwear would be welcome, are trainers okay or would something a little more sturdy such as walking boots be advisable? Just out of interest who will be our tour guide?

| Hi LCA I did this tour last October.....it's a great trip. If you have comfortable walking boots I would wear them as there may be a brief encounter with Flanders mud. If you don't have walking boots trainers or comfortable shoes should be fine. We went 'off track' to visit the cemetary where my great uncle is buried and had to tackle a potato field after a downpour but this was the only sticky bit. Enjoy your trip. I am off on 'The Old Contemptibles' the same day. RMA
