| It is with sad regret that my friend Percy Redfern "Legion D'Honour" has passed away. Percy was the President of the Stockport and District Normandy Veterans Association. to which I have been a "Friend" member for the last eight years. I have been informed that the branch will be disbanding this June 6th. After having a great comradeship with these veterans, it saddens me to see the end of another era. God Bless the last of the Veterans to which we all owe a debt of gratitude. Thanks Boys.

| Very sad indeed. The husband of the woman who helped deliver my wife when she was born was a Normandy veteran who was an active member of Croydon area groups and was to be seen every November selling poppies in the Whitgift Centre. Sadly he passed away last year. Forever in our memories, forever in your debt.
Lest we forget

| Deepest sympathies Pegasus. We do indeed owe the men and women that served a great collective national and also a personal debt. One tends to forget the growing scarcity of the WWII veterans, because there are still a handful of the Great War veterans around.
