| Well. I am honoured to be the first person to post here, its a great idea for people interested in military history, I am due to visit Verdun and Rheims in June and was wondering if anyone had any tips or advice, I have visited the Somme a couple of years ago with Leger and thought it was fantastic, this trip is a christmas present from my missus so i want to make the most of it, thanks in advance for any input

You will be amazed by the amount of WW1 trench remains to be seen, if nothing else. In terms of advice, there is some info on visiting Verdun on my website at: http://www.battlefields1418.com/verdun_battlefields.htm I will be adding a load of photos I took of the battlefields there last year onto the site soon. Any specific questions then feel free to ask!
